Mission & Objective
To provide industry-relevant, hands-on vocational training that equips every trainee with certifiable trade skills, workplace discipline and the confidence to build a self-reliant livelihood.
- Deliver NCVT/SCVT syllabi to the prescribed trade standard.
- Maintain workshop infrastructure at or above DGET norms.
- Bridge trainees to industry through placement and apprenticeship linkages.
- Operate with full transparency under RTI and public disclosure norms.

Institute Founded
Established 9 January 2006 under Government Resolution EBC-2005/P.K.295/MVK-2, run by the Social Justice & Special Assistance Department, opening with the Electrician and Fitter trades.
Unaffiliated CTS Trades Added
Solar Technician and Basic Cosmetology sanctioned as short-cycle unaffiliated CTS trades, June 2023.
Short-Term Courses Launched
Digital Mitra, Electrician (Domestic Solutions) and Solar PV Installer, Electrical courses begin, October 2025.
Technical Exhibition Recognition
Trainee projects on AI-based leopard detection and water-detection alerts win prizes at institute, district and divisional level.
Digital Transparency Portal
Institute website relaunched with monthly-updated public disclosures per Appendix 6 norms, August 2026.
